SED.calc_mag(band, system='Vega')[source]¶

Calculates magnitude in the given passband.

Note that the distance modulus is not added.

mag_sigma : float

Add a gaussian random deviate to the magnitude, with sigma given by this value.

system is either ‘Vega’ or ‘AB’
